Soya Chunk Rice | Soya Nugget Rice

Soya stands for high protein content which is equal to meat. Soya bean is a species of legumes in East Asia. Soya chunks widely used in Indian foods. Soya based products are soya milk, tofu, soya flour, soya sauces, soya bean oil. From soya milk, we can have yogurt, butter, cheese, ice cream, etc.,

Soya chunks are made from defatted Soya flour.  If you people are boring to eat plain rice daily then try this recipe for a change. Soya chunk rice recipe is so simple to make. It is a very delicious and healthy recipe.

High protein food is essential to add to your diet. This recipe good for school and office lunchboxes .whenever your kids opens the lunch box the aroma of this rice tends to eat more and they enjoy this recipe.


  • Soya - 1 cup
  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Water - 4 cups
  • Onions - 3
  • Tomatoes - 1
  • Green chilli - 5
  • Mint - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander -1/2 cup
  • Bay leaf - 2
  • Cinamon - 2
  • Cloves - 4
  • Elachi - 2
  • Coconut - 3 tsp
  • Oil - 4 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Salt - 3 tsp
  • Ginger - 2 tsp
  • Garlic - 3 tsp

Step 1 :

Soak 2 cups of rice for 30 min. Now take blender then add ginger, garlic, coconut and make them it into a smooth paste and keep aside.

Step 2 :

Now take a pan then add 4tsp of oil, when oil gets heated then add bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, and elachi gently stir them on medium flame.

Step 3 :

Later add chopped onions, chili fry until they turn into golden brown color. Now add chopped tomato and salute them.

Step 4 :

After saluting veggies now add ginger garlic coconut paste and stir it until it gets it aromatic. later add chopped mint and coriander.

Step 5 :

Now add soaked rice and fry it for 5 min, later add water, salt,& Soya chunks and cook them.

Step 6 :

When rice and soya chunks cooked well then add ghee and garnish with coriander and serve them to all.
